Latest addition to my staycation wish-list – Macaslister Mansion.

Macalister Mansion is a quirky and sophisticated boutique hotel in Penang, Malaysia. Converted from 100 year old colonial mansion, it has the best of both worlds, where heritage architectural details of the building were preserved and enlivened with modern contemporary design touches. Just look at the restaurant in the hotel, a baby-blue stag and a baby-pink deer below a white leafy tree? I’m in love.

Oh yes, the hotel only has 8 guest rooms, and each of them is unique in its design and decorated with specially commissioned art works and installations from various artists. I’m definitely having a hard time picking my favourite :)
