Another project from JQ Ong/The Association.
Different from the black-and-white flat featured in my previous post, this condo is done up in a colourful and more playful style.

After seeing JQ Ong‘s own apartment featured in Home & Decor magazine a few years ago, I have been liking his projects ever since.
This HDB flat at Cantonment is one of the projects shared in the Facebook page of his design company – The Association.
It has a black and white colour palette that reminds me of the colonial charm of the black and white bungalow in Singapore. Very classy indeed!

A roundup of the modern Trompe l’oeil (French for “deceive the eyes”) wallpapers that I totally adore. They are perfect for adding ornate architectural effects to any room.
1) White Cast Iron Lace wallpaper from Mineheart, designed by Young & Battaglia
2) Parisian hotel La Maison Champs Elysées designed by Belgian fashion design house Martin Margiela

3) American Tin Tiles wallpaper by Abigail Ahern
4)Â New Antique Books wallpaper by Abigail Ahern
5) My Museum designed by Paolo Badesco for Wall & Deco
I’m one of those who will have a hard time deciding on a theme or colour palette when it comes to the design of my own home, simply because there are just so many interior styles that I like.
While I certainly like the all-white, bright and airy Scandinavian aesthetic, I do love the dark and dramatic look that features large expanse of walls in deep hues, like Abigail Ahern‘s house in east London.
Black is not the most popular wall colour to use in the relative small flats in Singapore. So I really admire home owners who took the leap of faith and crossed to the “dark side” like this condominium project by Architology. I think it looks really cool, and very sexy =)
Fantastic Frank  – another Swedish real estate agency that has plenty of beautiful houses to offer, not only for potential buyers, but interior design lovers like us :)
This unit here is a 3-room, 73 sqm apartment top floor apartment in Stockholm (*note: anyway this unit has been sold).
Well, not all Scandinavian flats are in all-white :DÂ This apartment is decorated in a riot of colours, think green kitchen cabinets against a plum coloured wall, not a conventional colour combination but worked in this eclectic space.
