This 2-storey apartment at The Arris located within Tanjong Pagar area in Singapore, looks just like those cool and stylish London homes that would be featured in magazine like Livingetc.

Designed by Studio Wills + Architects, I really love the kitchen and the walk-in wardrobe concept of the master bedroom. The colour choice of black, blue with brass accents; and the use of a variety of textures and materials such as patterned tiles, marble and metal-framed doors created this very luxurious but edgy space. There is nothing I don’t like about this space :)

Find this walk-up apartment at Haig Road designed by LAANK to be totally charming and inspiring.

The colour scheme of grey and midnight blue walls, punctuated with doors in red and cobalt blue, sets an interesting, fun and stylish tone for the space. Despite the splashes of colours, it still exudes a quite elegance that I really like. This reminds me of a modern, chic apartment in Paris. Something different and refreshing from the cookie-cutter designs around.

A European Chic Terrace House in Joo Chiat, Singapore

NeighboursFirst.sg is the POSB’s creative initiative to showcase narratives of the neighbourhoods in Singapore through three key pillars – people, places and purpose. You could find videos, photography, illustration and editorial articles that share the Singapore neighourhood stories in the content platform.

“Home is Where the Art is” is one of the series that features HDB flats and apartments with unique design, and I am really drawn to this terrace house along Joo Chiat place. This European chic house is filled with vintage and flea-market finds curated from all over the world. What’s more amazing is that it is a rented place! This must be one of the nicest decorated rented place I’ve ever seen..

Cement screed flooring always reminds me of my childhood days spent at my grandmother’s house. The cooling effect felt underfoot was a joy in our hot weather. It is a material with timeless appeal and looks great with almost any décor. The finish of cement screed flooring will change as it ages and cracks are expected to occur overtime. That’s what making it raw and beautiful.

In this apartment designed by Artistroom, the build-ins and colour scheme were kept simple and streamlined; giving enough breathing space for the gorgeous screed flooring and kitchen backsplash to shine. It is effortlessly beautiful.
