The Togadera Vacation Home by The Novogratz

The Togadera home is one of the Anthology‘s collection of luxury vacation homes in Seabrook, Washington. It is a 3800 sqft home with 5.5 bedrooms, comes complete with family-friendly functionalities, bold design, and colourful art from Andy Warhol, Ann Carrington and Fernando & Humberto Campana.

Looking at the pictures, it is easy to recognise that the interiors are the work from the super cool husband and wife design team – Cortney and Bob Novogratz. Each of the rooms here speak the distinctive  Novogratz style – quirky, hip and fearless combinations of colours and patterns.

A Gothenburg Apartment with Bistro-Style Kitchen

For every one who loves Scandinavian home design, Swedish real estate agencies like Alvhem and Stadshem should be no strangers. These agencies don’t just sell homes, they also styled the home to perfection before putting the listing on their websites (I once thought that every home in Sweden look like that).

When we have just purchased our flat, I dreamt about creating a home that resembles these beautiful, bright and airy flats listed on their websites. I literally ‘stalked’ on the listings on a daily basis to look for inspirations, or just enjoy looking at the pretty images and imagine the stylish Scandinavian lifestyle :D (the website is in Swedish, but a pretty picture speak more than a thousand words right?)

So today I’m sharing this listing from Alvhem. It is a 40 sqm apartment in Gothenburg which features bistro-style kitchen and fun, quirky art pieces. Despite the tight space, it is chock full of personality!

Felipe Hess | Retro Apartment with Patio in Sao Paulo

felipe hess 01

I guess I just couldn’t get enough of the work by Brazilian architect Felipe Hess. So here’s another apartment designed by him.

Simple white walls and unfinished concrete walls provide the perfect canvas for the original pieces of mid-century designed furniture to stand out. The geometric-patterned flooring and accessories bring in just the right amount of colours to compliment the decor. The overall look is classy, yet fun and quirky.

Felipe Hess | A Sao Paulo Apartment with Interesting Mix of Flooring Materials

Hess 09

In this Sao Paulo apartment designed by Felipe Hess, we are seeing an interesting transition of flooring material from the kitchen to the living area. There isn’t a hard line dividing the two areas, instead, the green tiles/vinyl covering in the kitchen are laid out to look like water flowing towards the wooden floor area. Such an interesting design focal point!

Felipe Hess | At Home in Sao Paulo

This 130 sqm apartment is located in a charming building from the early 50’s in Sao Paolo and was transformed by Brazilian architect Felipe Hess into a personality-laden home for himself . While renovating the space, he has also preserved some of the original elements of the apartment, such as the exposed brick wall and the parquet floor, to retain the “memory” and character of the apartment.
