Stockholm’s Low-key Luxury Apartment in Grey

Wrede, is another Sweedish real estate site in my stalking list for fabulous Scandinavian homes.

This is one of the many beautiful Stockholm apartments listed on the site (anyway, this unit has been sold).  It is a spacious period penthouse apartment of 152 square metres with 4 rooms, now serving as the living room, dining room and 2 bedrooms. I like the use of grey here, and how it maintains a balance of moodiness and lightness in the space. Also, don’t miss out the ceiling colour of the living-dining room and the master bedroom. They are a painted in different shades of teal and dusty pink, adding another layer of surprise.

Swedish Apartment with a Gorgeous Black Kitchen

I spotted this beautiful Swedish apartment over on Sotheby’s International Realty website this morning. The black kitchen with the marble backsplash is just so sleek and sexy in an understated way. And of course, the rest of the apartment is just looking as fabulous.

Fantastic Frank | An Eclectic Apartment in Stockholm

Fantastic Frank  – another Swedish real estate agency that has plenty of beautiful houses to offer, not only for potential buyers, but interior design lovers like us :)

This unit here is a 3-room, 73 sqm apartment top floor apartment in Stockholm (*note: anyway this unit has been sold).

Well, not all Scandinavian flats are in all-white :D This apartment is decorated in a riot of colours, think green kitchen cabinets against a plum coloured wall, not a conventional colour combination but worked in this eclectic space.

Apartment with Unfinished Plaster Walls in Stockholm by Karin Matz

01_HB6B_Karin_Matz

Gasp.

How could an apartment with peeling wallpapers and walls left unfinihsed looking so good?

This little 35 Stockholm apartment is the home of Karin Matz, a young Swedish architect.

Before Karin purchased the apartment in 2012, this space had been used for furniture storage for as long as 30 years. The last renovation was begun in the 1980’s by the previous owner, but did not see it finished. It was as if time has frozen since then. Wallpaper was half removed, kitchen faucet were sticking out, and there was no electricity what so ever when Karin purchased the apartment.

Read the full renovation story here, on how Karin has preserved the previous layers and stories of the space, and add the same time making it functional for her new story to take place.
