Small Space Living | Christophe Poyet’s Retro-inpired Parisian Apartment

A small space of 35sqm did not stop architect/designer Christophe Poyet (co-founder of Humbert & Poyet Architecture) to infuse character and charm to his Parisian pad.

This apartment is located in the attic, and originally consisted of three rooms. The highlight of the apartment is the stunning views of Sacré – Coeur right out of the picture perfect window. Christophe has completely transformed the space to visually expand the room so that all three windows can be seen from any part of the apartment.

My favourite part of this apartment is the choice of colours for the kitchen cabinet and wardrobe door. The perfect french blue and olive green that I’ve always wanted for my own home :)

Parisian Chic Apartment by Camille Hermand Architectures (Part 3/3)

This is by far my favourite of all the Camille Hermand projects.

♥♥ Léon Cogniet ♥♥

I especially love the use of geometric wallpaper in this apartment, the vibrant colours add a more playful character and makes the space look young and trendy.

Enjoy the Parisian charm!

Parisian Chic Apartment by Camille Hermand Architectures (Part 2/3)

Another project by Camille Hermand.

♥♥ Neuilly ♥♥

This is a renovated Haussmann apartment.

From the entrance, there is a wallpaper/mural leading to the living area which has a more traditional feel. Coming to the kitchen, it is a contrast of modern kitchen cabinetry in sleek glossy black against the gorgeous flooring.  A sexy kitchen that is!

Parisian Chic Apartment by Camille Hermand Architectures (Part 1/3)

The Parisian apartment décor style is always a mix of old and new. Ornate moldings and herringbone hardwood floor that come original with the buildings, juxtaposed against modern furniture and vintage pieces from the flea market, creating a space that is eclectic and personal.

Colour wise – white and grey are usually the key colours. But you will also find mustard yellow, minty green, electric blue or bright red being used as accent colour in draperies, kitchen backsplash or the bespoke carpentries, adding characters to the space.

Today, I’m sharing a few projects from the Paris-based Camille Hermand Architectures, which all look effortlessly chic and stylish.

♥♥ Bonne Nouvelle – A family apartment in 10th District of Paris ♥♥

What I like about the apartment:

  • The glass partition with black metal frame that separates the kitchen and the living area
  • The white & blue subway tiles in the bathroom – Subway tiles are currently a hit in Singapore home, consider the dual colour combinations to give a fresher look!
  • The no frills wardrobe design, but clad in colours that set the tone of the bedroom
